Growing up in eastern Utah, within Uinta Mountain Range, Justin loved spending time outdoors and working for his grandfather's ranch. After serving a 2-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Montana, he returned to school here at USU in Logan, Utah. 2 years later, after working on a civil engineering degree, Justin realized he needed to return to his original roots and focusing on doing what he loved. Remembering having fun and enjoying FFA Nursery/Landscape competitions back in High School brought him to the LAEP department. In 2021 he received his BLA in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning.
Justin is now focusing on his MS in Environmental Planning. He hopes of completing a thesis that will prove how effective drone technology can be with planning and managing trail networks within the Forest Service and other Public Lands.
