Phillip is a designer, philomath, musician, surfer, and travel junkie from Southern California. While traveling the world as a performer, he became fascinated with the phenomena of public space and how directly influenced they are by design decisions. This newfound passion led him through years of eccentric major-shopping and job-hopping before finding a dream discipline in landscape architecture. Phillip earned an MLA from Louisiana State University and a BA in Latin American Studies from Brigham Young University. His Master’s Thesis explored tangible landscape modeling and tactical design strategies for coastal adaptation in Viet Nam—methodologies he hopes to develop further in his PhD work. Phillip comes to USU after working at RHAA Landscape Architects in the Bay Area. He is excited to be a part of the LAEP family!
